Will the paper envelope case fit plastic sleeved cards?

No, it won’t fit standard sleeved cards. The upgraded leather sleeve will have a post-campaign option to opt for extra thickness for sleeved cards.

Is there a solo variant? Is there a 4 player variant?

No, not yet. To keep the design streamlined and simple, I kept it to two players. In the future, I might find a way to allow for solo and 4 player games, as long as they remain cohesive with the design.

RULES: Why do you discard cards at the start of your turn, and draw at the end?

The purpose of these rules is to keep the gameplay moving back-and-forth. This will be a longer, more design-focused answer, so bear with me.

Each card in Outpost 18 is really two decisions. Because of this dynamic, +Draw openings can generate a hand of 3 or 4 cards very quickly. In Outpost 18, that’s 6-8 potential decisions in a single moment. This can be overwhelming and tough to handle in one step at the end of your turn.

It’s especially taxing for new players, or players who play lighter games.

So instead, when you end your turn, you draw new cards. You can begin to think through your next decision while your opponent is taking their turn. Before you start your turn, you have to discard down to 3, which is the max hand size.

Essentially, I’m just spreading the “Draw / Discard / Hand management” step from TCGs across a longer period to help prevent analysis paralysis.

How do I order more than one copy?

You can order more copies by manually adjusting your pledge as follows:

If you live in US/CANADA, add $6 USD ($9 CAD) per extra game to your pledge. If you add $35 USD ($45 CAD), I’ll add an extra Outpost 18 Leather Edition.

For everyone else, you can add $9 USD ($12 CAD) per extra game to your pledge total. If you add $46 USD ($60 CAD), I’ll add an extra Outpost 18 Leather Edition

Rules: Can I attack the Station Core, or do I have to destroy all upgrades?

If there are no upgrades with DEF, you can attack the Station Core directly. Go for the kill. Trust your instincts.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
